Highlights

Currently, we have one developer working on a Sable implementation for ATA airlines and a designer working on GUI interfaces for a cutting edge Adobe Flex® app for an new 3D media firm in San Francisco.

We have mobile web experience and a ton of community building experience. Last year, we built a Mobile Music community platform from the ground up that encodes uploaded music files into 3 mobile-friendly codecs. The platform is comprised of both an online portal as well as a mobile-friendly portal.

The online portal includes an completely custom CMS system as well as Member/Affiliate Extranets for user-defined and controlled content management. In addition, the Web Portal will allow visitors access to the “radio” streams via their PC or Mac and members may play both the “radio” streams as well as the “on-demand” content such as user-defined playlists. The Mobile portal will allow members to access live radio streams as well as user-defined playlists for delivery and streaming to their mobile devices.

Software Skills:	A little about our shop: Intellectual Alchemy is a custom design & development shop specializing in web-based applications development and user-interface design. We are headquartered in Indianapolis, IN where the majority of our staff works. We have 3 managing partners 1 full-time employee and a host of remote staff that work with us on an hourly and/or project basis. Our skills are very high-end design (website/print/GUI for software apps) and object-oriented programming. We primarily write code in C# .NET 2.0 & 3.0 and architect our databases using SQL. We run our own redundant datacenter and maintain our own design, development, testing, and hosting environments.
Additional Skills:	Our most visible work are our websites. However, we do a lot of consulting and development work with large companies where we can fill gaps with our GUI design expertise, programming and more. Work Terms

PROCESS OVERVIEW

Discovery
Intellectual Alchemy will initially serve in a consulting and advisory role for the purpose of discovery in order to brainstorm with the client, document the full-scope of services and create a thorough Project Plan.

Overall Design (“Look & Feel”) Phase
Intellectual Alchemy will work with the client to develop a general style guide, color-scheme, and “theme” for the site or application. We then create “composites” of screen designs for review, discussion, and approvals.

Individual Page Design and Linking Phase
Intellectual Alchemy will create a “staged” static version of the site as whole where the client can view the site/application pages and can interact with it purely by linking between screens and “feeling-out” the user experience.

Software Applications Development Phase
This is the phase where software applications specific to particular functions will be developed according to our Software Specifications and Use-Case Documents.
Testing

INTERNAL TESTING
This is the first test of newly developed software in a laboratory setting.

USER ACCEPTANCE TESTING
This is the phase where the clients use, test, and basically try to “break” the site and its applications.

Going Live
Site or application has been approved in its final form and all files are uploaded via FTP to the server(s) from which the site will be delivered to users on the Internet.
