I'm a web-developer who specializes in small to mid-sized customized content and user management systems. I work mostly in PHP and mySQL on the 'back-end', and XHTML and CSS on the 'front-end'.
I bring to my projects a strong understanding of usability and work with my clients to tailor the style, navigation, and complexity of sites to their user demographic and business objectives.
I believe in building tight systems that last. This means modularizing code to reduce both initial development time and the time of any future development, and making sure that the site owner has access to user-friendly tools that will allow them to update and maintain their site without further need of a web developer.
All my code is documented and designed to allow any web developer to understand it and add to it.
The latest web trends and technologies, including RSS news feeds to syndicate your news, events, or catalog; and AJAX interface elements like those used in many 'Web 2.0' sites, are easy to quickly implement in PHP, thanks to open source libraries. Non-profits and smaller shops working on a low budget can have their cake, and eat it too.
