Spirit Telecom Intranet: was the second incarnation of the "website engine", a PHP script that manages the navigation and url context of a site. Additionally the engine also managed dynamic manipulation of page elements such as header, footer, menu, sidebar and main content area and also includes base64 encoding to protect urls when a sites source is viewed. Since the engine manages everything as fragments of HTML/PHP, the site only has one complete HTML file for the entire site. Since navigation is also controlled by the engine, if a resource or page that is linked to is not available, other page elements (header, footer, menu, sidebar) still display even though the content area is blank. I call this concept "break it to fix it" of BI2FI. This is because you have to basically break the site to fix it or add additional functionality. The original site written with this engine was the Spirit Telecom tech-support site, which didn't have base64 bit encoding since it existed in a closed environment. At last check both sites are still running as well as the licensee site that was the third incarnation of the engine (basically the same as the Intranet site). All this was done without a database or any other data storage and at last check the tech support site was handing over 3500 HTML files.

Work Terms
|
1. I work only M-F (weekend/emergency work is done at minimum rate per hour + $4.00).
2. If I work more than 4 hours (time is rounded by the half hour) on a project per-day, I get paid for the whole day.
3. If I work less than 4 (time is rounded by the half hour), I get paid for only half a day.
4. If weekend work is required (Sat, Sun), a Project Request needs to be sent, outlining the additional work needing to be done.
5. Design work or Programming fixes needed after a project funds have been released, constitute a new project to be submitted and my Safe Escrow Request be automatically awarded to me, so we have a paper trail and no outstanding fixes or payments fall through the cracks.
6. Phone contact should be done within reasonable hours, based on Eastern Standard Time.
7. Email contact as many time as needed, I use Gmail so keep attachments to under 10MBs.
8. If part of my work involves moving a site/domain, and I’m waiting on a response from a registrar, hosting company or you, the time I spend waiting are classified as billable hours. Unless it is understood that said response will be send the next.
9. I download a copy of all site I work on, if this is not want you want, let me know. I start the download process as soon as I FTP into your site.
10. Status of project: I will try to send an update at the end of everyday so you can see my progress.
