Small education (K-12) publisher seeking person (male or female) to make voice recordings. Recordings will include reading word lists (for example reading a list of words such as house, paper, window) and short passages of 10 words or more. First project will involved pronouncing all 26 letters and 10 numbers very clearly. The voice should be “child friendly” as the listeners will be mostly children. Provider does not need a perfect radio announcer type voice. Instead, the person needs to speak *very clearly*. Male or female is OK. A tiny bit of ethnicity or accent would be OK. Children will listen to words on very low quality headphones or computer speakers. Work will be submitted via electronically as WAV or MP3 Voice files. Files must be free of background noise, hissing, buzzing, echoes, etc. In other words the files must be very clean with the voice being the only sound present. Voice samples in your portfolio are a must for this project. Please bid on the following job: 1. Submit 26 files, one for each letter of the alphabet. In addition submit another 10 files, one for each number 0-9. This is a total of 36 files. 2. Each file should contain: one letter (or number) spoken twice. For example, for the letter A, the file will include approximately one half second of lead time, then the letter A, a brief pause, and the letter A spoken a second time. 3. File will be formatted for MP3 in mono at 22050 Hz. (all this is easily done with the free software audacity and a good microphone so a recording studio is not needed). Please provide fixed price. Please also indicate the number of hours you expect to spend so we know your hourly rate. For example if you expect to spend 1.5 hours and your hourly rate is $20 then your fixed price bid would be $30. Since the most important criteria is accurate pronouncing of letters and numbers, a speech/language pathologist or a teacher could perform this task. We have other jobs of a similar nature.
