I'm an Electrical Engineer and licensed NJ Electrical Contractor with 26 years experience in the design; manufacturing, testing and installation of Electrical Control/Power Distribution Systems primarily used in the Emergency Power Distribution Industry. My background includes the following areas to date; electrical design, manufacture, field service and engineering management. I have always been a hands on engineer and am comfortable with mechanical as well as electrical engineering issues.
My experience has prepared me to relate easily with other engineering disciplines, levels of administration and hourly personnel. In my current position as part of a startup business unit I am responsible for and perform the following tasks on a regular basis: make sales calls, generate estimates and quotations (determine profit margin for each manufactured item), negotiate vendor pricing with electrical distributors (Turtle & Hughes, Cooper Electric, Fromm, Warshauer, Graybar) and other OEMs such as GE, Siemens and Cutler Hammer, write and place purchase orders, monitor inventory, design electrical equipment panel layouts, schematics and interface drawings using Auto Cad 2004 Electrical, develop bills of material, manufacture/assemble, wire and test finish products. Customers who have used my services include AT&T, NJ Transit, NYCTA, Kennedy Airport, Automatic Switch Co., Solar Turbines Inc. and Bechtel.
Products I have purchased and used in custom control applications include but are not limited to: NEMA 1, 12, 3R, 4X, 7 & 9 enclosures (including custom sized and configurations such as conduit hole locations, pilot device holes, disconnect mounts etc), Outdoor equipment houses, Electrical switchgear (480VAC through 15Kv), protective relays and instrumentation, automatic transfer switches, programmable logic controllers, computers, SCADA systems, motor control centers and replacement buckets, lighting contactors, NEMA & IEC motor starters, pilot devices, engine generator sets, molded case/ insulated case/metal frame circuit breakers up to 480VAC/5000A, electrical test equipment, A/C variable frequency drives, wire and cable.
