Example: In manufacturing assumption variables may be "cost of goods sold, raw materials, transporation, unsold inventory, work in process, and so forth". When building a financial forecast we must focus heavily on our assumption types to try and put out any kind of credible financial forecast,
I am looking for an internet researcher to scout the internet and gather for me any and all kind of assumption variables being used for spercific genres of businesses/industries that I provide.
My interest is not to find out the actual % of some business's "cost of goods sold" but more the categories like the "Cost of Goods sold" itself.
My report is on what assumption variables are a pre-requsite and or specific to building a successful financial model segreated by industry or business type. e.g. For most business genres "rent" is a common variable. But a manufacturer may require heavy equipment purchases whereas a service company may not, so the assumption variables for capital needs will be different.
Another example of what I am looking for would be: what assumption variables does a restaurant need to build a credible financial forecast i.e. Food cost, liquor cost., merchant fees, coupon redemption, revenue mix from food vs liquor etc.
