With over 13 years of embedded and application development experience in all roles from prototype design to field sales and support, I can provide the vision, design and support you need to deliver a profitable product.
I've spent my career in the both technically demanding telecom product equipment market designing solutions for hybrid fiber/coax telecom systems as well as the high-paced embedded systems contract services fields leading projects such as remote sensing products and high definition in-flight entertainment systems. I've designed products where customers have had little to no requirements to those who have very detailed requirements and processes and still been able to deliver the product to meet or exceed their expectations. I've developed embedded software applications for low power 8-bit microcontrollers in ASM all the up to asymmetric microprocessor/DSP SoCs in C++ and .NET. Also, as a degreed electrical engineer, I always consider the hardware implications and limitation of the code I design. I can fit the role of peer and team member to technical lead and knowledge broker.

Work Terms

Contract Types:
Time and materials preferred but SOW and fixed cost projects are negotiable.
Communication:
Email, Skype and phone are acceptable. Email is preferred. Native English speaker.
Project Tracking/Scheduling:
Project tracking and scheduling is tied directly to my invoicing system (Paymo.biz). Separate Gantt chart-based project plans can be generated if requested (MS Project, OpenWorkbench)
Intellectual Property:
All code and documentation generated for the project is property of the client unless using prior art developed by e6 Group.
Equipment/Tools:
e6 Group has access to general SW and embedded development tools (programmers, debuggers, logic analyzers, etc) and computing equipment. Customer may need to provide custom HW that is project specific.
Availability:
Normal business hours 8AM to 5:30PM M-F PST but exceptions can be made based on urgency.
Ethics:
6 month confidentiality agreements are standard for all projects. Code and work generated during the project is your property while under good standing.
Payment:
Flexible payment terms. No checks for first time clients unless upfront arrangements are made.
