My Cash Account

What is the cash account?

Your cash account serves as a kind of debit account for you on Guru.com. Any refunds or credits you receive through Guru.com will be added to this account.  You can also add funds by check, e-check or wire transfer. Funds in your cash account can be used to pay Guru Invoices and SafePay requests or they can be transferred to your e-check or PayPal account.

  • Add funds to your cash account via check, e-check or wire transfer. You currently cannot add funds to your cash account via PayPal or credit card.
  • Earn Loyalty Dollars when you use your cash account funds to pay Guru Invoices and SafePay requests.
  • Find refunds or credits issued by Guru.com in your cash account balance.
  • Transfer funds to your e-check or PayPal account at any time. Note that the amount available for transfer may differ from your account balance if any of your scheduled transfers are on hold.

How do I add funds to my cash account?

You can add funds to your cash account via check, e-check, or wire transfer.

Check

Please allow three to five business days for checks mailed within the U.S. and up to three weeks for checks mailed from outside the U.S. to arrive. Upon arrival, the check is deposited into Guru.com’s bank account where it is placed on a three-day hold. After the three-day hold is lifted, the funds are added to your cash account’s available balance.

To add funds to your cash account by check,

  1. Write your billing code on your check, and note that the funds are for your cash account.
  2. Make the check payable to Guru.com.
  3. Mail the check to Guru.com, Attn: Accounts Receivable 5001 Baum  Blvd., Suite 760 Pittsburgh, PA 15213 USA

Note: If your bank does not honor your check, you will be charged a $35 return fee.

E-check

You can use only confirmed e-check accounts to add funds to your cash account. To add funds to your cash account by e-check,

  1. On the top navigation bar, click “Payments,” and click “Cash Account.”
  2. On the Add Funds tab, select “Add funds to my cash account for later use,” and click “Continue.”
  3. Enter the amount of your deposit.
  4. Select e-check from the drop-down menu.
  5. Click “Add Now.”

Note: After you add funds, you can view the estimated date Guru.com will pull funds from your bank account. This date is approximate and subject to holiday schedules. The funds will be officially added to your available balance three business days from the processing date.

Wire Transfer

When determining the amount of your wire, remember to check with your bank to determine their fees and the fees of any intermediary banks through which the funds may pass and any currency conversion fees.

Guru.com’s fees per wire transfer depend on the origin of the funds:

  • $20 USD if funds are wired from a bank outside of the U.S.
  • $10 USD if funds are wired from a bank within the U.S.

Note: Some banks charge their own additional fees for wire transfers. Ask your bank about any currency conversion, transfer or intermediary fees to account for them when funding your wire transfers.

Note: Please allow up to five business days for Guru.com to receive and process a wire transfer payment. You will receive an email when the funds arrive and are added to your cash account.

How do I transfer funds out of my cash account?

You can transfer funds out of your cash account to your confirmed e-check or PayPal accounts. You can transfer out a minimum of $25 and a maximum of your cash account’s available balance. If you have less than $25 in your cash account, you will be able to transfer the full balance.

To transfer funds out of your cash account,

  1. On the top navigation bar, click “Payments,” and click “Withdraw Funds.”
  2. Enter the dollar amount you want to transfer.
  3. Select either “E-check” or “PayPal” as your transfer method.
  4. Click “Review Withdrawal.”
  5. Click “Withdraw Now.”

Note: Transfers are processed and sent to your bank or PayPal account on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. For your funds to be sent on a specific day, you must request a transfer no later than midnight (ET) the night before. If generally takes two business days for the funds to be credited to your bank account. PayPal transfers are credited by 5 pm (ET) on the day the transfer is processed.

When will I receive the funds?

For your funds to be sent on a specific day, you must request a transfer no later than midnight (ET) the night before. How do I check the status of a transfer?

To view the status and history of your cash account transfers,

  1. On the top navigation bar, click “Payments,” and click “Cash Account.”
  2. Find transaction status and notations on the History tab.
Transfer Status Definition
Pending Your transfer has not been fully processed yet. Please review transfer notations on the history tab.
Completed Your transfer was successfully processed.
Canceled
  • Your transfer was canceled by your request or for another reason. You must transfer funds and select a payment method again. Check your email for a related message from Guru.com.

OR

  • You deleted the payment method that you had selected for this transfer. You must transfer funds and select another payment method.
On Hold
  • Your transfer has been held by your request or for another reason.

OR

  • Funds added to your cash account via e-check remain on hold for three days after the processing date. Guru.com processes transfers on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, but bank holidays can delay processing. Your funds will be available on the “Funds available” date .

How do I check my cash account balance?

To view your cash account balance,

  1. On the top navigation bar, click “Payments,” and click “Cash Account.”
  2. View the Cash Account tab for balance information.
  3. View the History tab for records of your account transaction activity.

How long can I keep funds in my cash account?

For active Guru.com accounts, funds can remain in the cash account indefintely.

A Guru.com account becomes inactive two years after the last sign in date. Five years after the Guru.com account becomes inactive, we are required by law to remand the funds to the commonwealth of Pennsylvania. We will make every attempt to notify you before this happens.
