I'm best when working on things I care about, however I'm always up for a challenge! If you do have anything involving the culinary or comedy worlds, I'm your gal!

I'm a native New Yorker, who's surprisingly not jaded by this great city. I was fortunate enough to be born into a magical family of crazy artists who are all smart and caring, and two parents with the wherewithal to purchase an apartment on the Upper West Side in the early '80s. This meant I had access to some of the best public schools around, which afforded the training that got me into the top arts high school (at the time anyway) for my acting abilities.
In an effort to have a more well-rounded viewpoint and skill set, however, I chose to continue my education in the world of hospitality, and so I obtained a BBA in Hospitality Management, with a concentration in Hotel & Resort Management. By the time I graduated I swore I would never work in a hotel, which naturally guaranteed that I'd find myself employed by a large hotel chain for about four years just about that same amount of time after graduating.
Another, unexpected thing happened when I was an undergrad though. That was the re-discovery off my passion for writing. My professors encouraged me to continue developing that skill, and while I wasn't at a school that offered minors or double-majors, I took every comp and writing class I could. I joined the school newspaper, and got a job at the school's writing center, where I was able to help other students develop their own writing abilities.
About a year after leaving my corporate hotel job, I found myself working as a food tour guide for another company, and taking my first classes at Upright Citizens Brigade, where I'd finally found a writing and performing style that spoke to my soul; comedy.
Today I have my own food tour business, that means I get to write about food for my blog. I continue to flex my comedic muscles any and every way that I can including as a show host for my monthly show The Food Funny which combines comedy and food in a very unique and silly way. I'm just looking to keep this joy train running.

Work Terms

As a freelancer/hospitality professional my schedule is ever-changing so I don't have one specific set of hours. I'm happy to discuss timelines, payment terms, etc. My only condition is that everything is clearly agreed upon prior to starting any work.
I prefer to communicate via email, however, I have no issue with phone or skype calls. I've been in the service industry long enough that I'm not afraid of these things! I only prefer email due to the fluctuating schedule.
