Wharton alumni who managed $3 BN public equity portfolio prior to founding private equity fund. Generalist long term value investor with specialty in energy.

A graduate from the Joseph Wharton Scholars Honors program at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, Andrea Himmel is a lifelong value-investor, ironman triathlete, and philanthropist.

From 2009 through March of 2016 Andrea oversaw global energy investing for the $21BN asset manager Sanders Capital, which was founded by the co-founder and former CEO of Sanford Bernstein (1968-2008).

In April 2016, Andrea launched Tierra Resource Partners, a long-term oriented private equity firm established to invest in disclocations in the global energy markets. Its first fund is a mineral fund.

In 2010, Andrea launched the Energy Investor Forum, a private energy networking club centered around 1,000 senior investors based out of NYC with $500BN of capital invested in public and private energy markets globally. Andrea organizes the group to convene monthly, featuring keynote speakers from the industry, boutique consultancies, and the government.

Andrea currently serves on the Board of Directors of two international non-profits: Habitat for Humanity and The Asante Africa Foundation.
