To whom it may concern:
As a senior IBM mainframe programmer analyst, I worked closely with other analysts to convert new and existing clients systems to other core system and related applications. Using detailed Statement of Need and requirement documents to write technical designs, programs and procedures to translate, convert and migrate data from other service providers to implement products and convert data for applications.
Working closely with Conversion and Requirements team to understand client requirements to code, test, and deploy programs and provide support during the actual conversion event.
As new products where introduced, working closely with Product Development, Project Managers and Requirements team to understand product requirements to code, test, and deploy programs and provide support during the actual product implementation event.
During conversions or new products collaborated with team members’ to code, test, and deploy programs and provide support during either event.
Understanding how to accomplish the above-required knowledge of:
Waterfall model - Requirements - Design - Implementation - Verification - Maintenance
Iterative Development - A big project is divided into small parts and each part is subjected to multiple iterations of the waterfall development model. At the end of an iteration, a new module is developed or an existing module is enhanced.
Agile methodology - software is developed in incremental, rapid cycles. This methodology focuses on responding to change rather than extensive planning. Interaction with customers, developers, and clients rather than processes and tools needed by the waterfall model. Incremental testing is used in agile development.
Responsibilities:
Develop source code - COBOL, JCL, SQL and other supporting scripts (CLIST, REXX, Stored Procedures, SyncSort, etc...)
Working with Testers in the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
