My name is Bong D. Aquino and I am a Network / System Administrator and Open Source enthusiast living and working in Quezon City, Manila, Philippines.

I started using computers when I was about 13 or 14 years old. Later I got my first PC of my very own (an ATX) and became immediately hooked. I used to take it apart regularly just to figure out what everything was. Eventually I started saving up to buy upgrades (1GB of RAM!) and I’d rebuild my machine regularly. It wasn’t long before I became curious about networking of course.

I taught myself how to do administrating by reading countless books on the subject. I made many mistakes and learned from most of them. Eventually it all started becoming clearer and I kept refining my development techniques. When I was 19 years old, I got my first job as a Computer Technician and the rest is, as they say, history.

The story hasn’t really changed since then. I never turn down a tool if it’s the right one for the job.

With many years or experience in the system and research industries, I made the decision to start consulting in May 2004. Since then I have helped many individuals and companies meet their goals with quality ideas and consulting services.

Work Terms
