BKM Engineering is operated by Brian K Mcclung, a Sr. Electronic Designer, or a non-degree'd Engineer.

As a well experienced Electronic Technician, I started BKM Engineering, initially offering a wide range of Engineering Design and Support Services and gradually migrated primarily to Schematic Capture and PCB Layout, retaining and enhancing my digital design skills as well.

I use Eagle exclusively as my PCB Design software, as I am well skilled in Eagle and it is too hard to adapt to other PCB Design software on short term projects (6 months)

I also do small scale hardware design and system development.

I am not prepared to take on jobs involving coding unless you have a very simple Arduino project and that would have to be fully defined before I would consider it.

My specialty is designing PCB's and fully working with the PCB Manufacturer to ensure correct manufacturing.

BKM Engineering specializes in fixed rate jobs. My typical fee for Schematic Capture and PCB Design is $300.00

Circuit and Product Design are priced on a case by case basis. Long term jobs are generally handled in a paid-in-advance or installment contract.

Fixed Rate vs Hourly Jobs

I generally always prefer fixed rate jobs.

They afford the client more security and allow me the flexibility to determine the appropriate amount of time to spend on each task.
