Cut, Cleaned and Corrected Media

My name is David Dickerson a.k.a. J Cut and I am aspiring to become one of the greatest editors in Film and TV. I was born in Brooklyn, NY and trying to make my aspiration a reality with hard work and dedication.

My love for editing started in my senior year of high school, where I was introduced to the awesome program known as Adobe Premiere. Since then, I've tried my hand at other things like camera operating, directing, acting and location scouting. I enjoyed working in many jobs that place a video on a big screen. My love for editing clips and footage creates a wider appeal to me. Something about being in control of what someone has filmed gives me excitement in my work. Most people don't enjoy mundane tasks such as sitting at a computer and skewing through tons of video clips, but I find challenge in the task and look for new ways to complete it.

My love for technology became evident as I got older. Video games and movies have always been interesting to me. This is where my interests in entertainment started to come about. Most of my interests and hobbies deal with being creative. I write stories, songs, poetry and dance a little. I enjoy things that I can get feedback on because it helps me to improve what others feel I can do better with. Editing various clips, I've gotten a lot of feedback, some good and some bad, about the way I do things. Each time I receive criticism I use this as motivation; as this is the only way I’ll be the greatest.

Work Terms

My prices may be negotiated but my base price is set at $300 and $12 for every minute of the video(s).

Communication through email is encouraged, but other means of communication are also welcomed.
