Partnering on Strategic Initiatives to Create and Implement an Inclusive Company Culture for the Neurodiverse
I have worked in the non-profit organization area for approximately 10 years being driven by my passion to help others who are adversely affected by barriers to employment. Recently, my journey at Pittlaw has led me to build on this passion and focus my independent study coursework on Neurodiversity and how employers can capitalize on their strengths while creating an equitable workforce. I have advocated in Harrisburg for a fair wage for individuals with disabilities. I also have advocated for those individuals that would like to remain in day programs and get paid for piecework and continue to work in their day programs. I advocate for what is fair and what is right, not what one's family or caregiver may feel is right for the individual, but what the individual would like for themselves. I give those who do not have a voice a loud voice which is non-judgemental and unbiased.
