I do Print and Web Design, including Development, mostly for small to medium-sized companies. And individuals. I used to work for major Manhattan companies like Estée Lauder, SONY, Barclays, and the like. My question was, "why should all these name brands have all the fun? Why not bring that level of expertise and modernity to regular people and smaller business?"

All my work has great attention to the Principles of Good Design, and User Experience. After all, it's the user who is the key to what you want to achieve. I am great at focusing on them, your target demographic, and using artwork, written copy and technology synergistically to address their interests.

I guess all those years in Advertising have really paid off.

Work Terms

The first thing is to consider the clients budget, and work within it. That being said, I use a set standard for each feature or module that a client may want. This is based on industry standards researched by AIGA, the Arts Guild and similar organizations. This way I am thoroughly informed and can charge competitively.

This actually gives me more flexibility to get things done for clients that may otherwise get hung up. I also block out time on my calendar in order to estimate the time required

I use standard contracts with fair terms. Most clients make a deposit of one-half or one-third and pay the remainder on delivery. Details and milestones are worked out of course on an individual basis.
