Background:
Since 2020, I’ve focused on, and honed my writing for a range of audiences. For the nearly thirty year prior, I was an independent contractor in the post-school education and training sector. Roles varied from the development of systems for quality management, to learning materials development, research, policy analysis and report-writing. Clients included tertiary education institutions (local and international), sector education and training authorities (skills councils), private companies, government departments, NGOs and donors, as well as grassroots community organisations.
I have worked in both the private and non-profit sectors, in various capacities: the development of educational materials for second language English learners, to administration and fundraising. I have been a volunteer governor and fulfilled leadership roles in a range of organisations concerned with causes relating to children and youth.
Credentials:
Mother tongue (native) English speaker with a Bachelor of Arts (Humanities) with majors in English and Geography, and a Higher Diploma in Education (post-graduate) as well as an advanced certificate in teaching English as a foreign language. I was accepted to do a Ph D in education a few years ago but chose to move to the country.
In 3D life, I had a tourism business (now a side hustle). I write regularly for two local clients and blog on WordPress (www.fionasfavourites.net) and from there to the crypto social blockchain, Hive.
I cook. With love – for family, friends and for my stall at the village market where folk buy what I make with seasonal produce – locally sourced and from our garden.

I will not take on school or university assignments EXCEPT for online writing tutoring or academic editing.

FACE-TO-FACE/ON SITE WORK
I am available for face-to-face and/or on-site meetings in my geographical area. For large projects, I could be available to travel.
PAYMENT METHOD AND TERMS
- After thirty years in the business I reserve the right to refuse to do unpaid trials.
- Payment via Guru.com.
- For small projects: 50% deposit into Guru's SafePay escrow account prior to starting work
- For projects over $250, I require a 100% deposit into Guru's SafePay escrow account and a 50% advance prior to starting work.
