About

Professional photographer, photo retoucher, and graphic designer

I am a photographer, retoucher, and graphic designer with ten years professional experience. First, when I was still in high school, I taught myself how to use a 35mm film camera. Then, I received a BFA at the Maryland Institute College of Art, where I studied photography, screenprinting on fabric, and letterpress printing. Since then, in addition to photography and photo retouching, my professional career has included doing work in textile design, product design, graphic design, and as an artist’s studio assistant. My multi-disciplinary interests and experience helps me find a unique and creative solution to any project.

I have a worked with 35mm and large format film cameras, 35mm and medium format digital cameras, and natural and strobe lighting. I have mostly specialized in product photography, and feel strongly that a good photograph, which is pretty to look at and also clearly shows the product, is vital to helping customer feel interested in and excited about what they’re buying. I take plain product shots for e commerce, and also love styling a romance or lifestyle shot specific to the individual voice and style of the company.

Work Terms

I work mostly 10-6, five days a week. Payment is net 30, sometimes with an advance before I begin working. It is best to reach me by email, and phone is okay too. I can be available on skype for long distance meetings, or AIM.
