Voice acting is not only a manner in which individuals communicate information. It's a way to express a myriad of emotions.
I received a masters degree (MA) in International Affairs from the George Washington University. Shortly thereafter, I began doing voice overs in Manhattan where I studied theater acting and performed onstage for 4 years. Then I moved to Miami and worked in a language dubbing studio for 2 years directing the dubbing of European movies and Japanese cartoons. Now I've been working full time in voiceovers in Los Angeles for, gulp, 25 years! It's been a dream come true to work doing what you love to do most...TALK and TALK and TALK and TALK!!!!!!!
Work Terms
Each job is different and budgets vary. Plus, my fees are predicated upon the particularities of the job whether it's a national spot vs a local spot, a narration for an audio book vs a Sea World 30 minute video on shark attacks (Yikes!), etc. Generally, I follow the payment scales established by the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) and the American Federation of TV and Radio Artists (AFTRA).
