Hello! I have been writing professionally since graduating college in 2013. After completing my B.A. in Political Science, I joined AmeriCorps, where I helped a non-profit with fund development. I wrote grants, organized fundraisers, carried out social media campaigns, managed their website, and helped with the writing and publication of their quarterly newsletter.
After AmeriCorps, I worked for an ecommerce firm, first as a website builder, then as a content writer, and finally as an editor. I wrote blog and website content and designed infographics for over forty ecommerce sites. Topics ranged from greenhouse gardening to how to build a bug out vehicle for the end of the world, and everything in between. As an editor, I helped plan the content that would appear on the site, assigned pieces to the writer who was the best fit, edited their work, and uploaded the finished content onto the site, adding graphics. I also worked heavily on building the websites, working in WordPress, BigCommerce, and 3dCart.
I then revisited the nonprofit world, where I managed the website and all social media accounts. I also was responsible for the publication of a quarterly magazine and an annual directory - gathering and editing articles and meeting strict editorial deadlines. I kept association members up to date with regular emails I put together with Constant Contact as well as regular postings on the website's News section. I conducted interviews and wrote case studies to help secure funding.
This breadth of experience in the fields of writing and marketing has made me highly flexible with the variety of projects I can take on. I love a challenge and am always excited to try something new. In my spare time, I love to cook, play the piano, and go to concerts. Art is everything.

Work Terms
I'm looking to complete fixed rate projects. My passion is writing, and I have vast experience in writing blog posts. However, I am also open to more technical pieces, transcription, and even some HTML and web design. I am also an experienced designer, and can help you create infographics, a new logo, website banners and graphics, flyers, brochures, and other marketing materials. My usual rate for writing projects is 7 to 10 cents per word, depending on the amount of research required by the project. I am highly flexible and open to negotiation.
