Over the past 5 years as a Technical Translator, I've realized how important is language to convey our information naturally and properly. I've written and translated dozens of technical sheets, manuals, SEO-Optimized Amazon products, websites and books in the niches of Education, IT, Business, Engineering and Cloud Computing.
I've also had a long-term collaboration with the huge U.S. Publisher "Benchmark Education." I've been editing, translating and proofreading a big amount of books for them for almost 2 years now. Working with a top-notch publisher has certainly trained me on using the best standards on children's/teacher's books.
Another project which I'm honored to fill my portfolio with is authoring one of the biggest documentation platforms for Latin America (Web Hosting/Cloud Computing/Linux Servers). During this project with "Open Cloud, Chile," I wrote, edited, tested, and formatted (Markdown) +200 technical articles on Linux Systems Administration, CMS Management, and IT. Everything was managed through GIT, so that's another tool I'm comfortable with. I've provided on-site engineering services to Fortune 500 Companies both in Spanish & English.
I'm a Telecommunications Engineer with a great passion for developing, so I decided to approach my professional career on top-notch Web Development too. I'm comfortable using HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, & Angular.js to build great responsive websites. I also have experience with Java Programming Language and GUIs.
I have experience with the Administration, Operation, and Maintenance of big Networks and Sytems. I'm comfortable using Linux systems (Ubuntu, SUSE, Fedora) and Network software.
Finally, and as I side note, I'm an experienced musician (Vocals, Guitar, Harmonica, and Piano) and composer, I'm mentioning this because I've used some of my own music to provide background, atmosphere or soundtracks into my tech work. I've used Adobe Audition, Cubase, Pro Tools, and Camtasia Studio.
