Hello! I am 65 years old and live in a beautiful coastal town in South Africa. I am married to my bigest love, Deona, have 4 children and 2 grand children.
My qualifications range from a MBA, B Com and a Civil Engineering Diploma to graduate qualifications in civil engineering infrastructure, contract and tenders, project management, marketing management, management accounting and utility management.
The following is the main areas of my expertise but it is integrated and I draw on all disciplines in executing work. It is not in order of preference.
Infrastructure Design and management - Wide range of design and management experience including storm water, hydrology, water , sewer and waste, roads, earthworks, rail and related work.from townships to mega projects. I have conducted and participated in feasibility and other studies. Recent experience include infrastructure work, procedures and specification on Medupi Power Station, south African mines such as Leewpan, Thababmetsi, Gamsberg, Tweefontein.and Greenside, African mines such as Mayoko in DRC and iron ore in Liberia and Revuboe and Estima in Mozambique.
Project and contract management - Medupi power station infrastructure project manager and design team leader. Contract administrator on GGV mine. Tweefontein earthworks manager. Many small and big projects going back to the start of my career.
Financial and business management - Financial, project, economic, risk and all manners of modeling including forecasting, what-if simulations, pro-forma statements, budgets and all the tools of the trade. It includes tariff design and Monte Carlo simulation, statistical analysis and data cleaning. It includes project controls management including change and contract management, value earned, cost and bill of quantities estimation and all controls. I have been management accountant and financial manager for various entities.
Contract and procurement management - Preparing/compiling/evaluating all contract documents.
Work Terms
I am available on a 24/7 basis.
Payment terms will be discussed with the client and conform to the rules of Guru.
Payment can be hourly or fixed sum.
