I'm an experienced proofreader with an excellent command of the English language and a sharp eye for detail.
For the past nine years, I've been working on-line at Elance, oDesk (now called Upwork), Freelancer, People Per Hour, and Guru. I have a five-star rating on all five sites. I have passed the English proofreading tests, the U.K. and the U.S. English grammar tests, spelling tests, vocabulary tests, punctuation tests, language tests, and speaking tests. I have also passed the General Office skills test and the Microsoft Word 2010 test.
You may search for me under the freelancers as luannet (this is all one word, lower case, no spaces).
From 1998 to 2011, I was self-employed as the owner of a small business. I designed and built dollhouses and dollhouse accessories. I was responsible for all office functions including typing, forms creation, bookkeeping, purchasing, and invoicing. I created all the designs and forms using Microsoft Word and Picture Publisher.
From 1979 to 1998, I was self-employed. I was a temporary office employee engaged as a proofreader, secretary, and word processing operator. I was employed by agencies and through clients of my own. My duties covered all aspects of secretarial and word processing including the training of other secretaries.
From 1970 to 1979, I was a secretary at London Life Insurance. I was a sales staff secretary to nine salespeople. I was responsible for correspondence, policy applications, supplies, filing, bookkeeping, and policy owner inquiries. I trained new employees, and I was the back-up office manager.
