Man Down Productions is an independent, professional recording studio created by Jason Welwood. We take projects from all over the world via the internet.
Jason has been recording, mixing and mastering audio for over six years, going from recording local bands in his garage at 18 years old to working as a freelancer in traditional recording studios and then eventually starting a studio of his own. He also spent two years working in the radio industry as an on-air personality and production engineer.
When envisioning what Man Down Productions would stand for, Jason knew that there was one thing he refused to do: take advantage of musicians. Too many times he had seen traditional studios charging overblown hourly rates to independent musicians to work on their project.
"It wasn't uncommon to see artists coming through who were working two jobs or borrowing money from family just to fund their project" Jason recalls. "If I'm going to start a home studio, I'm going to put the money in to make it a properly sound treated environment first and foremost, it's going to be on my own terms. You wont see my paying bills to anybody for rent and you also wont see me overcharging my clients to cover my own ass."
At Man Down Productions, passion comes before profit, always. We charge a reasonable rate that we stand behind. We make professional quality recordings a reality for all artists and musicians. Through the internet, we are able to easily exchange recorded tracks back and forth so that you don't have to face the steep learning curve of learning to mix and master audio on your own.

Work Terms
Man Down Productions offers services via online file sharing.
Audio files are shared via Dropbox, Microsoft One Drive or Google Drive. You send us your audio and we will mix and master it for you, sending you regular progress updates and draft mixes so that you stay in control of your project's sound.
If your project requires additional instrumentation (drums, guitars, keyboards, etc.) or vocals, we can provide music composition for an additional fee. Not only are we audio engineers, but seasoned musicians and songwriters as well.
Communication is handled primarily through email, but in certain situations, Skype chats can scheduled if necessary.
We accept PayPal as payment for services. Completed master tracks will be released to the client upon payment for services.
