I have always been passionate about art. However, it wasn't until after the arrival of my firstborn in 2007 that stars lined up for the launch of my career as an illustrator. Prior to that, training in education and psychology, followed by a brief stint teaching 4th graders served as a useful distraction. But who'd have known that fond memories of teaching 9 years olds would continue to inspire my work as an artist, especially while working on children's books.
During the past 10+ years as an illustrator I have worked on a range of projects, met several interesting people, and found great joy in just being a professional artist - a dream I nurtured since childhood. I'm always looking to reach out to those who share common interests. So feel free to connect.
Work Terms
I live in India so I work in those hours. In my field of work, it doesn't matter though as I work remotely and independently. I prefer written mode of communication though as it helps document and clarify the requirements of the project.
