Designer, illustrator, animator, and masterful problem solver.
My name is Matt Kemball, there isn’t much to say about me besides that I am from Canada. Gatineau, Quebec Canada to be exact. I am a classically trained illustrator who studied Fine Arts at the Ottawa School of Art. I have always had an interest in comics and making things move, Two years ago I entered the comic book industry with my first book titled Unethical. This process led me to pursue graphic design, feeling that it would give me a better understanding of layout and typography.
What I do is approach problems with a unique style and perspective. My work in comics has given me a unique experience in layout, storyboarding, visual design, and animation. A lot of the work I have done has been in advertising, eventually branching out and focusing on motion design. All of my experiences have culminated in a unique style and skill set that has allowed me to deal with and please even the harshest of clients. I have worked with clients from both Canada and the United States on projects that they and myself are very proud of.
I have worked as an Animator at a studio called Simple Story Videos, and as an Artist and Design Director at Alchemic Archetypes. An indie comic studio
Work Terms
When starting a job I will request a retainer to be paid before any work begins. Then the final payment before files are handed over to the client.
