With over 25 years of IT experience, I am a versatile and reliable contractor who can help clients with various projects involving cloud migration, DevOps, Linux, and Perl. I have a Red Hat Certified Technician certification and a Computer Programming certificate from Brown Institute, demonstrating my technical skills and knowledge.
Currently, I am working as an IT contractor on Upwork, Guru, and other sites, where I have completed several assignments for different clients, such as troubleshooting and optimizing server performance, setting up and configuring BTC Ethereum and Chia Coin mining nodes, and scripting and administering backend tasks. Previously, I worked as an IT contractor at Thomson Reuters, where I migrated a payroll and income tax application from an on-premises data center to Amazon Linux, with some components in Azure Cloud. I also automated and integrated the development environment with the Veracode vulnerability scanner and Azure DevOps tools.
I enjoy learning new technologies and applying them to create innovative solutions. I am proficient in multiple programming languages, such as Perl, Bash, Ruby, Python, Java, JavaScript, Groovy, and Scala. I also have extensive experience with various tools and platforms, such as Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, CMVC, Subversion, Mercurial, Git, CM Synergy, Buildforge, Clearcase, Oracle, MySQL, Postgres, VMWare, VirtualBox, Docker, and Linux.
