The guru of

Making design simple but not too simple, beautiful but not distracting, intuitive and useful.

I have been working as a UI designer in Austin, TX since 2007. I started primarily as an interactive Flash designer but shifted towards designing with HTML, CSS, and JS. During this transition I have worn many hats including art direction, branding strategist, animator, User experience designer, 2d & 3D illustrator for interactive presentations and video, creative for ad campaign collateral, as well as production stylist. I have an eye for color, style, composition and simplicity in design and web experience. I enjoy collaborations as well as working solo on projects and take pride in the work I touch. I have a background in fine arts (and I am currently developing on a body of work) that helps to inform my creative decisions for the online media.

I have designed several apps, both responsive web apps and native OS. I approach all UI design from a 'mobile first' perspective, maintaining a simple and straight forward approach and aesthetic. I strive to achieve a look that is both mindful of the audience and function, but also pushing the limit in order to be unique and memorable. I like to study the current trends and contribute or build upon designs I think are interesting and forward thinking.
