About

Crafting persuasive prose that informs, entertains and achieves desired results

This Canadian ex-pat left winter behind and escaped to a tropical island in the Philippines. After a lifetime in North American Television and Feature Film production, technician to executive producer, the desire to write for the screen, compelled me to put my experience into practice. Having completed 2 movie scripts, 1 TV pilot script, and a 1930's bio in development, countless articles, and more, my dream continues.

As a sailor, world traveler (almost) photographer, writer, guitar player, lover of life, and all things beautiful, I have been blessed with an adventurous life journey.

One of my most memorable moments was being piloted in an open cockpit stressed 9G bi-plane by a 74-year-old WWII ace performing aerobatics. Talk of your extreme midway theme park ride. What an adventure. But then that's what life is supposed to be all about.
The characters I have met over my lifetime from a Detroit novitiate priest, a WWII army map maker stationed in Japan, a Texas blacksmith, even Frank Sinatra, and Russel Crowe on movies I've worked on help fill out my life story.

Having produced and directed over 250 retail ads for a US retailer, information programs for many corporate clients, and a variety of other projects. Years ago I worked at WGBH TV in Boston as the senior lighting designer and two years ago was the Creative Director.
for a Chinese manufacturer of film production equipment in Nanjing China.

Today, my passion is to use the written word to entertain, inform, and motivate.

A current film project is a true life bio that has Tolstoy's nephew as the narrator.

Work Terms

I prefer to work on a per job basis with a fixed price. As a writer, sometimes I can craft 5 pages in 2 hours on a good day, and other times 2 pages in 5 hours. From my journalistic days, I like to work to deadlines. I prefer to have my clients involved throughout the communication process and welcome their participation.

I am open to discussion regarding the above.
