She has been working as a high school teacher for 21 years, developing strong grammar and punctuation skills as well as creating solid ideas as she is the leader in her classroom. She adheres to a strict schedule, and consistently meet deadlines in her profession.
Her first passion is writing, and she has been writing fiction, short stories and poetry since grammar school. As a teacher, she has created newsletters, created lesson plans and designed curriculum for her school. This experience has helped her to develop excellent writing skills, and she has written numerous papers and journals while enrolled in her graduate program.
Even when N.R was in middle school she always had been fascinated with words. English was her favorite subject and despite her growing up in the Big Apple, often you would find her sitting on the stairs, with her nose buried in a book. While the other kids were going coast to coast up and down the block on their roller skates, or playing RCK, and jumping in and out of that double Dutch rope, this held no attraction to her, she just wanted to read.
Her fate was sealed early , she knew what her calling was and what she wanted to become. More than anything else she wanted to be a writer.
By the time she reached high school she had developed an insatiable appetite for reading. She would read 4 novels per week and she loved it. In high school she took every creative writing course offered in her school and still was able to maintain an “A” average. By the time she finished her junior year she had already started her first novel, and had completed 3 chapters. When When she first applied to college she originally wanted to major in journalism, but that summer of her senior year she worked at Harlem Hospital in New York and had an life altering, experience that changed her direction
