I am an experienced technical writer. I can communicate with your subject matter experts, review their existing documentation and quickly develop simple and refined technical documentation.

I have a history of producing high-quality technical work including the documentation of a major Australian telecommunications company's systems' APIs, the complete documentation of a major bank's bond trading IT systems, and the production of MIL-SPEC compliant documentation for an artillery control system.

For two years I was a C++ programmer producing ERP sub-programs and for one year I developed assembly and embedded C code. I am comfortable with Java and with any kind of database work. I use Perl every day and have used Linux (Debian) daily since 2001. I quickly learn and enjoy new technologies. My university qualifications are in electronics, chemistry and commerce.

As an editor I have my own small business correcting, simplifying and beautifying technical, commercial and political documents. This work has seen me edit nearly every sentence in thousands and thousands of technical documents, all self-managed, meeting my clients' deadlines and conforming to their style rules. Microsoft Office is the primary application that I use.
