Born in a small village in the outskirts of Syracuse, NY, amongst the creatures of the area, Jeff was raised in a rural setting and learned what it was like to fend for one’s self and the need for entertainment through art and stories. At a young age he began creating his own comics and designing his own characters and creatures and when he finally emerged from the wild and rural life, he sought out the guidance of artist greater than himself.
At last his tutelage with the great artists was complete and Jeff pursued his dreams and continues to do so. Jeff is Ronin, master-less, an artist creating from his own Ki (heart, soul) and expressing that which he perceives from within his psyche. He uses his skills and talents to aid those who need them. When he encounters others who wish to put visual art to their words or ideas he uses his abilities as an artist to help create comic books, graphic novels, manga and storyboards. In addition to doing these things he will create the concept art necessary to bring the elements of these projects to life along with finished illustrations if desired.
Jeffrey Zacholl has since teamed up with other creators with skills similar to his own along with those whose skills that differ from his own. By combining forces, this band of Ronin, master-less artists, are now capable of focusing on their strengths to create stronger and better work while broadening their scope of the lost creators which need skill sets such as these amazing artists to complete their creations. Since then, this band of Ronin has come to call themselves Lost Ronin Studios. And he is Lost Ronin Z!
