Following a few years in sales and marketing roles in my early twenties, I started in the internet world in 1998. (Though I'm new to Guru, having signed up after recently employed a freelancer through the site and liking the system).
I was designing sites first of all, but soon realised I wasn't terribly good at that! However, all the sites I'd built were top of the search engines, so I switched my focus and have been concentrating on website promotion every since.
My focus is always to ensure your business goals are met for the project I'm working on. And my experience of running my own business, as well as being a Director of a local Chamber of Commerce, has given my a great insight into what it takes to succeed against your competition.
