Senior Graphic Designer
Hi,
I'm Ryan, a Graphic Designer and printer for over 20 years now. I was previously working from Toronto but since having 3 wee ones, me and my wife have progressively moved west with each new arrival and now have settled in Kincardine ON.
As for me, I'm a first generation Canadian of Norn Iron[sic] descent. I've backpacked and visited over two dozen countries across four continents to date. I'm the father of a 1, 2 and 4-year-olds and start coaching football (soccer) this year which is exciting. I'm a former GAA (Gaelic Athletic Association) player for the Toronto Gaels Gaelic Football Club.
With design, I'm a highly skilled Production Artist who can apply a higher degree of technical print and prepress knowledge into the design process and artwork construction than the typical Graphic Designer. I also use my print knowledge and previous decades of connections within the GTA print trade to broker print.
Other tidbits:
- A 2015 nominated finalist in the “Best Logo & Identity” category for a major competitor's annual awards. (Link can be provided upon request)
- Was Nikon Canada’s supplier for almost a decade producing their in-store signage and POP Displays, trade show booth graphics, and even for their Media Centre pavilion at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics.
- Designed and produced the opening weekend poster and programme for the CNE (Canadian National Exhibition) from 2006-2011.
- Produced packaging found in such retailers as Walmart, Loblaws, Metro, Sobeys, Whole Foods, Longos, among others.
- For almost a decade worked directly with a former Advertising Director of Volvo Trucks and previously of J. Walter Thompson Canada (JWT Advertising) which started off as a print production management supplier for Otis Sauter Leger (OSL Marketing). Learnt a vast amount and grew immensely from my experiences in this dynamic duo setup.
