On Time, On Topic, On Purpose
I am a published Canadian author and Strategic Planner, and I have over 25 years experience in land and resource development as a prospector and community planner. I began my formal education at Simon Fraser University in their fine arts program; however, I changed my focus to urban planning after my first year. I now have a graduate education in urban planning, an undergraduate degree in geography, and an associate’s degree in fine arts.
In addition to this formal education I have also continued to seek professional development opportunities in: negotiations, project management and content marketing. This unique combination of skills, education, and experience position me as a valuable addition to any team, project and organization.
My success is anchored by my writing skills. In 2012, I gave up a successful consulting business, Orbis Consulting, to pursue my passion for writing. Since then I have been blogging, and content marketing, full time.
I work from my home office in rural British Columbia with my wife, Wenona, and three daughters. I am passionate about the craft of writing. My signature website, The Edge on Strategy, is a content-rich site built on a foundation of listening, communicating and educating others.
Work Terms
I am able to work on short notice on a wide variety of writing projects. My rates are flexible; however, I am not able to work for a penny a word. My target for compensation is $0.10 / word and $50.00 / hour.
