I work on high quality very realistic scientific illustration designed to communicate precisely what a scientist or anyone wants. I work close to my clients to understand their needs.
I am a biologist with a M.Sc. degree on environmental safety. My main fiel of work is entomology, but I work mainly on biodiversity monitoring, entomology and ecology. I try to combine my scientific knowledge with the artistic techniques that I have developed for more than 25 years. I also have experience on preparing graphic material for printing and I am a certifies webmaster from the IWA. My understanding of the biological world allows me to have a great connection with scientists, engineers and technical clients.
Work Terms
I like to understand precisely what my clients need and I keep them updated about my work progress using my own system online. It allows me to correct any mistakes on the fly and add any characteristic that my client's need. Once the work is done, I usually deliver a high-resolution file to the client that can be downloaded from my own FTP Server. Prior downloading, I have a system that allows the client to make observations on high resolution images shared online so that we can make any correction. High quality photos and descriptions are needed in order to make better illustrations. In some cases, I receive dry specimens or even visit museum collections in order to get the material needed to make my illustrations. Payment must be done in time prior to the final illustration delivery. If the client needs the original artwork, there is a price for the original and shipping too.
