Experienced Salesforce Solutions Architect

Hello and thank you for reviewing my profile. I am a Certified Salesforce Developer (Dev 401) and solutions architect with 4 years of experience doing Salesforce development and 2 years of experience specifically in Salesforce consulting.

A few years ago I took one of the biggest risks of my life- leaving a prestigious organic chemistry Ph.D program to change gears for Salesforce development, and I've never looked back! I now have a career that I absolutely love, and my teaching experience has given me the skills to really educate new users on their level.

I have worked on projects ranging from initial implementation of the Salesforce org of company’s starting from the pre-purchase stage to making upgrades/modifications to very complex, enterprise-level systems to developing original custom apps on the Force.com platform. In additional, I have extensive experience in working with customers who are new to Salesforce and who are unsure of the capabilities of Salesforce.

Work Terms

A key reason that I think you should consider me for your project is my ability to both understand and speak about business processes in business terms rather than in highly technical jargon. Many developers, while perfectly skilled in software development, are not comfortable or proficient in talking with business owners, salespeople, or marketing people in their own language. I have worked on both sides of the fence and am both comfortable with and truly enjoy the process of talking through a company’s business process in non-technical terms and then translating that into a Salesforce solution. Then I can present that solution in understandable business terms, pointing out and demonstrating the real business value, in terms of time saved, waste prevented, additional sales, customer retention, etc.

This allows for plenty of opportunity for the business owner to understand the project as it is being done and keep things on track for the end-result they envisioned, offer criticism before the project goes far down the wrong path, and to make sure that the tools being developed are going to be a perfect fit for their business needs.

Long story short, this translates to faster development times, zero or minimal waste of money on unnecessary development, and a finished product that is guaranteed to NOT gather dust because it doesn’t work right or doesn’t do what the users need it to do.
