Welcome! My name is Sumiko Martinez, and I'm the founder and principal of Rhetorica Consulting, a communications consulting and editing company. I have been freelance editing since 2005 and hold a BA in English from Westminster College as well as an MS and PhD in Communication from the University of Utah (focused on rhetoric, culture, and critical education). In 2021, I formalized my editing practice into Rhetorica Consulting, born from the belief that communication is one of the most important things we can do.
I bring excellent editorial and organizational skills to your project to ensure that your work is shown in the best possible form.

IN PERSON WORK
I am available to meet in person for clients in my region (100 mile radius from Salt Lake City, UT). For intensive or larger projects, I may be available to travel. Please message me if you have questions about this.
PAYMENT TERMS
Payment only accepted through Guru.com. I require a 50% SafePay deposit to begin work, and ask that you use AutoPay through Guru.com to keep things streamlined for both of us.
