Aaron Weiss did a 5-star job on the database-creation job he did for our firm.
Understanding client's needs: Aaron started the project with terrific effort to learn what we were looking for, including going back and forth with ideas about how best to create a solution that would serve us in both the short and long term. We valued his efforts immensely, since we have little expertise in software development and were very concerned about not specifying the project properly, and getting results that would turn out not to be what we needed. Because much of this project-design work was the result of long, involved telephone calls, we think Aaron's North American presence was an important contributing factore to the project's success.
Responsiveness: Once the project started, we received daily updates from Aaron, which were totally unexpected. In fact, Aaron's continual communication dramatically increased our responsiveness to him. He managed us--the client--in a way that contributed greatly to the short time from the project's inception to completion.
Quality: The database Aaron created was more than we asked for, in its design, usability and upgradability. We could not be more satisfied with the end product.
Assurance: As a first-time guru.com employer, we were very concerned about the many risk factors that could negatively affect the project. Aaron was so understanding and delivered results so fast that we were stunned. We trusted him in a matter of days. Before finding guru.com, which we located through a web search, we had tried to work with a software-development firm on our project. But we found them unresponsive, focused on increasing the project scope and more concerned about their well-being than ours-so we decided to look elsewhere. We are very happy we did.
We don't know what would have happened had we awarded the project to a different developer. All we know is that we think we received tremendous value for our money (and time).
