I have been in the manufacturing industry for 25 years as a Die maker, machinist, designer, and cnc programmer.
I started my career as a machinist operating manual milling machines and lathes and quickly progressed to operating cnc machines. I have programmed and operated cnc vertical machining centers, horizontal boring mills, 5 axis mills, wire edm, waterjet, laser, and plasma cutting machines.
I decided part way through my apprenticeship that I wanted to follow my dad's footsteps and become a Die maker so I switched my apprenticeship to die making.
I have always enjoyed drawing with cad systems so about 14 years ago I was offered a supervisor position with the opportunity to assist the designing department.
I have designed and built dies for automotive, office furniture, commercial and residential building products, etc.
I am certified in AutoCAD and proficient in RhinoCAD, BobCAD, and Mastercam.
