The most beautiful portraits not only capture the likeness of the sitter; that is a given. We must use style to convey the dignity with which our subjects deserve to be remembered.
Christopher Wilke is a classically trained, award winning oil painter and has been focused primarily on the art of the portrait for the better part of 20 years in both paint and photographic mediums. He is the founder of VanderWolfe portraits and named the studio after his great grandfather, who was a well known painter, poet, and tulip farmer in Holland.
Christopher's work is in many private collections and he has been chosen to participate in many shows, including the "Eighty-Third Grand National Exhibition" with The American Artists Professional League at the Salmagundi Club in NYC.
