This is the second posting we are doing here to look for someone serious who knows or can do this job. Last time we had several folks come up, none knew what they were talking or saying.

Looking for someone who has created or knows how to create a backup program using opensource programs.

Any opensource program that can encrypt the backup and will backup VM's and local machines, remotely or on the machine itself.

Job Description -

  • It is Windows environment only nothing else.
  • When you create the program and use an open source solution, make sure you are creating an interface where the user can enter or pick what folders or folder paths for each machine; select the machines on the network and its folders via the interface and is not typing out info on a notepad and end up making errors.
  • This will be an exe of sorts to be installed and run on a windows server that user will run on the machine and if on the network it will backup the local machine folders, if selected, OR the remote VM's folders for more than one VM's using IP addresses to access the VM's, if necessary.
  • Have an interface to set up email alerts for users for success or failed backup messages.
  • Have an interface to copy/move/transfer the backed up folder to a cloud location like a google drive or one drive or a NAS set up.
  • Backup program will back up the windows server folders only - again, remotely or locally on the machine itself.
  • there will be multiple VM's and it will pick the folders from all VM's and create a backup
  • Backups will have to be encrypted.
  • If you have similar solution, we can look at buying it - not interested in doing any subscription with anyone. Just FYI.

Again, please dont just say you can do it or you have done many - doesn't help me give it to you and please read the JD a couple of times and then apply.
Last time we awarded it to a couple of folks and they just failed, epic!

Please when you apply tell us how you will do it with an approach and if you have done this before & share any screenshots that tells us you have done this in the past.
