We are looking for an experienced AR game developer to build the MVP for an immersive horror game. The game should feature AR integration, voice detection, location-based storytelling, and dynamic environmental scares. It will be built for iOS (ARKit) and Android (ARCore) using Unity.
Core Deliverables Include:
- AR Integration: The game should use real-world environments to create jump scares, environmental triggers, and AR object interactions.
- Location-Based Story Generation: Use Google Maps API and optional Zillow API to pull player location data (address, house type) to craft personalized haunting stories.
- Voice Detection: Implement a system where player reactions (e.g., gasps, screams) will trigger end play.
- Environmental Scares: Include subtle and dynamic environmental scares such as flickering lights, shadowy figures, spiders, and other paranormal effects.
- Sound Design: Create an immersive soundscape with ambient sounds, random noises, and periods of silence to enhance tension.
- Social Media Integration: Allow players to share gameplay moments (screenshots, videos, audio) across Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms.
- Notifications & Phone Calls: Implement random game notifications and fake phone calls to keep players engage when they aren’t playing.
- Flashlight & Tilt Mechanics: Players will navigate dark environments using a dim flashlight. The flashlight may flicker or cut out at key moments, adding tension.
- Headphones Integration: Enhance the player’s immersive experience by encouraging headphone use. Spatial sound effects and 3D audio will be implemented for more realistic scares.
