Medication Tracking App for Android and iOS (mobile phone and tablet applications)

I need a native medication tracking APP for Android and iOS. The tablet/phone may not always have access to cloud, so this needs to be a fully self-sufficient stand-alone App to operate without using cloud-base support.

This is on my own tight budget. I would like both App version ready within 2 months, and total budget of under $3K.

Basic Requirements:

1. Patient Room Dashboard

Real-time display of each patient's medication schedule, dosages, allergies, and administration history at   bedside.

2. Medication Tracking

Tracks all administered doses, times, staff IDs, and exceptions in a secure, tamper-proof digital log.

3. Barcode Scanning Integration

Validates medications and patient ID using barcode scans to ensure five rights: right patient, drug, dose, time, and route.

4. FDA Drug Information Access

Enables lookup of drug details—dosage, side effects, contraindications, FDA labels—via:

  - Online Mode: Access list and description of medication from FDA portal, NDC database or openFDA API.

  - Offline Mode: Uses locally stored excel file on FDA data for reference during downtime.

5. Automated Alerts & Safety Checks

Real-time alerts for drug interactions, allergies, duplicate therapies, and missed doses.

6. Role-Based Access Control

Granular permissions and detailed audit logs to ensure HIPAA compliance and accountability.

7. Mobile & Bedside Compatibility

The software is optimized for the following platforms:

   - Android Tablet Version: Lightweight, responsive version for use on bedside carts or mobile workstations,      enabling real-time updates and barcode scanning.

   - iOS (Apple iPad) Version: Optimized for Apple healthcare environments, with support for touch navigation,    secure access via Face ID/Touch ID, and compatibility with iOS-native tools.

8. Offline Mode with Auto-Sync

Continues medication tracking when offline, with automatic syncing once reconnected. I plan to assign one tablet in MASTER (Admin-role table), and all the rest as CLIENTS. At end of each day, I need to link each Client tablet to the Master tablet via Bluetooth to upload and update the Master tablet with the days medication administration activities.

9. Secure Messaging for Clinical Coordination

Enables collaboration between nursing, pharmacy, and physicians regarding medication issues.

10. Customizable Reporting & Compliance Analytics

Generates medication compliance, error rate, and performance reports for clinical reviews and audits.

11. Medication Reconciliation Support

Assists in verifying and matching patient medications at transition points (admission, transfer, discharge).

12. Printable Medication Administration Logs

Allows staff to generate and print detailed records of all administered medications, including:

   - Patient name and ID

   - Medication name and dosage

   - Date and time of administration

   - Administrator’s name and credentials

   - Notes or exceptions logged during administration

13. HIPAA-Compliant Data Encryption & Controlled Export

All stored medication administration data is encrypted at rest and in transit using industry-standard protocols (e.g., AES-256) to ensure full HIPAA compliance and protect patient health information (PHI).
