As you prepare your quote, please take note of the following important information:
It is required that the content, in its entirety, be original content. It is required that every sentence you write comes from your own creativity and mind. All content, line by line, will be verified for its originality. It is important to clearly understand that only original work will be accepted.
I will not accept or pay for plagiarized material. Plagiarism will not be condoned even if it is as simple as one “borrowed” sentence. Plagiarized material will result in immediate cancellation of the project and contract, with no payment due.
Each story should be of good quality and should be entertaining, engaging and not filled with “fluff” or fillers.
All content should be formatted for Kindle eReaders.
Upon payment in full for each project, I will own the rights to all finished products, including byline rights, resale rights, ownership rights, copyrights, and all else associated with the finished products.
I am looking for writers coming from English speaking countries which include but are not limited to the United States, Canada, Australia, and the United Kingdom. You must be fluent in the English written word.
For each project I require the following:
-Five book mini-series with a similar basic theme and an external plot that ties all the books together.
-Each five-book mini-series will have a cast of characters that intersect and tie the series together.
-Each major character may have their own subplot. All subplots should tie back into the series’ main plot.
-The seeds for the plot of the next book should be planted as the series progresses.
-Each book in the series should end in a cliffhanger that will entice the readers to the next book in the series.
-Each book in the mini-series must be a minimum of 10,000 words and a minimum of 25 pages in length excluding the Title Page and Table of Contents.
-Finished books must be submitted as a Word doc using a maximum 11-point, Times New Roman font. Each page will have no more than 1/2” margins all around.
-Each book in the series should be submitted with at least 1 title suggestion and a 1-page overview of the story, detailing what the story is about. The overview should be 1 to 2 paragraphs and at least 10 sentences.
Each book should be submitted with a title page and a table of contents page with hyperlinks to each chapter.
The title page, table of contents and 1-page overview are in addition to the 10,000 words/25-page requirement.
I prefer to build long term relationships with my writers. I strive to always demonstrate ethics in business, and I will treat you with dignity and respect. I am looking for serious writers who love to write and are also looking for long term opportunities.
When submitting your quote please add the phrase “Just for Today” at the very beginning of your quote/message so I know you took the time to fully read and understand the project description, expectations and requirements and are not bidding blindly.
Please include in your quote an answer to the following questions:
1. How long will it take you to write each story?
2. How good are you at creating, sticking to and meeting deadlines?
3. Have you previously written anything like this project on which you are
4. How do you incorporate feedback and edits into your work?
5. What genres are you comfortable writing in?
Please include samples of your work so I can get familiar with your writing style. Please know that as I narrow down the selection of writers I may ask for a longer or fresher sample of your work before I make my final decision to move forward.
Please provide a solid quote for each short story. I will not pay per hour or for time worked. I typically pay approximately $125-$150 per short story, depending on experience.
Upon submission of each completed short-story, I will need a maximum of 48 hours to review and request edits, if needed. I will pay within 8 hours of acceptance of each short story. I do not and will not pay in advance for any unfinished work.
