The process involves deformation of tube, supported over a mandrel, by 3 roller which can move axially over the tube , resulting in elongation of tube.
Workpiece : Supported over mandrel. no slipping allowed. one end of the tube in fixed ( in lathe chuck) while other end is free.
mandrel : Fixed at both end and rotates at different rpm
Rollers are arranged at 120 degree ( symmetrically arranged) . It is free to rotate about its axis, when it comes in contact with the rotating workpiece. Rollers move along the axis over the job , thus elongating the tube and decreasing the thickness.
Roller has an chamfer angle which can be varied as 10,20,30 degrees etc
Requirement: analysis by ABAQUS EXPLICIT
1) Analysis of stress , strain , power , Forces ( plots , data), on roller and mandrel
2) Video explaining each step how the simulation was performed.
3) The simulation should be such that it should generate data for one roller also. It should data by changing the chamfer angles
