Looking to make use of the new GPT / Zoho Connector.  However running into issue.  Its like the connection isn't fully establishing.   Done this...


1. SYMPTOM

ChatGPT shows:

  • “Zoho Connected”

  • but no CRM actions/modules appear

  • everything behaves as if CRM does not exist

This is the signature failure pattern of one of four root causes.

2. ROOT CAUSE POSSIBILITIES (with what we confirmed/tested)

Below is a ranked list of potential causes and whether we ruled them out.

Cause 1 — Zoho Data Centre mismatch

Status: Ruled out
Your URLs showed:

  • Zoho One = zoho.com

  • Zoho Accounts = accounts.zoho.com

  • Zoho CRM = crm.zoho.com

Everything is fully in the US data centre.
No mix of .com / .ca / .eu.

Conclusion:
Your system is NOT suffering from DC mismatch.

Cause 2 — CRM API Disabled

Status: Ruled out
You shared a screenshot of CRM API dashboard showing:

  • API usage

  • API versions

  • credits consumed

  • integrations functioning

This proves:

  • API access is enabled

  • CRM is accepting requests

  • No restrictions exist at the API level

Conclusion:
ChatGPT should be able to access CRM through API.

This suggests your CRM profile is not restricting ChatGPT.

Remaining uncertainty:
Zoho One sometimes overrides CRM permissions at a higher level — we haven’t confirmed your Zoho One app assignment yet.

Cause 4 — OAuth Scopes Were Incorrect / Stale


Status: Ruled out
We performed:

  1. Revoked ChatGPT in Zoho Accounts

  2. Revoked ChatGPT in CRM OAuth

  3. Revoked ChatGPT in Desk OAuth

  4. Disconnected Zoho connector inside ChatGPT

  5. Hard browser refresh

  6. Reconnected with CRM access scope

  7. Checked the consent checkbox during OAuth

This completely resets all OAuth state.

Since you still cannot access CRM actions, OAuth is no longer the problem.

Cause 5 — Zoho One is preventing CRM from being exposed to ChatGPT

Status: NOT TESTED YET — high likelihood

This is now the only remaining cause because:

  • Zoho One controls which apps each user has access to

  • If CRM is not assigned to your Zoho One user or group, ChatGPT cannot “see” CRM even if YOU can log into CRM directly

  • Zoho One can also map CRM to a different org ID than the one you actually use

  • ChatGPT only receives access to the CRM instance registered inside Zoho One

This produces the exact symptom you have:
Connector says “connected” → but 0 CRM actions exist.

3. WHAT YOU HAVE ALREADY TRIED

Here is the precise list of solutions you performed:

✔ Confirmed DC using multiple services

  • Verified CRM, Accounts, and Zoho One all live in US DC.

  • Eliminated cross-DC conflict.

✔ Confirmed CRM API is enabled

  • Verified API usage inside CRM dashboard.

  • Eliminated API-disabled scenario.

✔ Disconnected and reconnected Zoho connector in ChatGPT

  • Eliminated simple connector caching issue.

✔ Revoked all OAuth across Zoho ecosystem

You revoked tokens from:

  • Zoho Accounts

  • Zoho CRM OAuth console

  • Zoho Desk OAuth

  • Zoho One marketplace (if present)

This ensures fresh OAuth scopes.

✔ Hard refresh + new connection

  • Eliminated browser-level caching problems.

✔ Confirmed CRM URL is correct

  • Your domain org24942889 is a valid active CRM org.

✔ Confirmed CRM permissions are likely OK

  • No visible limitations in CRM user profile.

4. WHAT REMAINS (and why this must be the issue)

The only part of a Zoho One environment that we have not confirmed is:

Zoho One → App Assignment → CRM

This is 100% separate from CRM’s own permissions.

You can log into CRM normally even if Zoho One does NOT assign it to you.

But ChatGPT CANNOT see CRM unless Zoho One says:


“This app (CRM) is installed for THIS user in THIS org.”


So if any of these are true:

  • CRM is not assigned to your Zoho One license

  • CRM is assigned to a group that you are not part of

  • CRM is attached to a different CRM org inside Zoho One admin panel

  • CRM org ID in Zoho One does not match your real CRM org ID

  • There are multiple CRM orgs tied to your Zoho One account

  • Your user is recognized under Zoho One but CRM is licensed to a different Zoho identity

Then ChatGPT will show zero CRM actions
because ChatGPT only uses Zoho One’s app assignments.

5. FINAL NEXT STEP

Please check:

Zoho One Admin → Apps → CRM

I need to see:

  1. What Organization ID Zoho One thinks CRM belongs to

  2. Whether your email is assigned to CRM

  3. Whether CRM is assigned through a Group Policy

  4. Whether CRM is enabled globally or restricted

This will identify the issue immediately.
