Business Planning for Startups

I work with talented entrepreneurs, small businesses, and emerging growth companies to help them take advantage of substantial market opportunities by developing sound and workable business plans.

Notable engagements as an advisor and investor include Audible.com (acquired by Amazon in 2008), CitySearch.com (acquired by Interactive Corp in 2003), Net2Phone (acquired by IDT Corporation in 2006), along with a few others.

My professional involvement goes way beyond just putting my clients’ thoughts on paper; hence, I expect my clients to actively participate in this important process.

Besides stepping in as an external resource and sounding board, I try to add value to my clients' projects by helping them fine-tune their vision and business objectives, manage proof-of-concept activities, and understand customers and targeted marketplaces more clearly. In addition, I also often provide tactical support to assemble qualified management teams and address issues in connection with the new venture’s capital structure.

It goes without saying that I don’t use or work with cookie cutters or boilerplate templates. Doing so is a complete waste of time and money for everybody who is involved. I am also not available to work on budgets of “$250 or less” although I will consider incentive compensation.
