I am the author of "Complete Hackers' Handbook" (Carlton Books 2002) which has sold over 100,000 copies worldwide and has been translated into Japanese, Dutch and, it is rumoured, Polish.
I don't want to just write about hacking and computers - I was trained in psycholinguistics, psychology and AI - but have interests in many other subjects.
Current research projects include: The Vijayanagara Empire, Extreme Sports, The History of Electronic Music, The History of Computer Security, Marian Visions in Southern India.
Anything else that comes along is fodder for my blog.
I was born in England, live in Spain, have been to India 5 times, have three children and seven grandchildren - only one of whom is biologically related to me.
