Facilitated meetings of cross-departmental "user" groups to define business rules and developed detailed design specifications for a custom programmed application. Specifications included entity-relationship diagrams, tables and their associated fields and relationships, and a complex decision-tree/process flow diagram developed using Visio 2000 to depict the processing and data flow requirements of the application.
Designed and performed the conversion of the data into the new application's SQL Server tables. Imported the data into MS Access, where I "cleansed" and manipulated it into the new SQL table formats using queries and VBA modules. Imported the "cleansed" and re-formatted data into the SQL tables using SQL Server Enterprise Manager.
Supported the users during the post-implementation phase of the new application. Trained them on the use of the new system. Managed user frustration and anxiety resulting from the conversion. Researched and prepared detailed reports
